9 Nights / 10 Days

As kids, all of us had Shimla and Kullu-Manali on our bucket lists. But times have since changed. Aren’t we all now dreaming of going on an offbeat, non-mainstream trip? Our Spiti circuit is an unusual conglomeration of adventure and peace. Take this tour with us through picturesque villages and surreal forests, forts and monasteries, pretty lakes and farms. You’ll get introduced to some very warm-hearted people and bright cultural communities thriving in India.

Safarnamaa has put together this unforgettable experience for all those who are looking to spend their summer in the lap of the Himalayan Mountain Range.

Himachal is blessed with pristine cultural heritage and naturally beautiful landscapes that you can capture through your camera and cherish all your life. This Spiti Valley Tour includes exploring highly diversified attractions. The magnificent northern Himachal district is home to river valleys, snow-capped peaks, high passes, icy lakes, and glaciers. There are quite a few offbeat destinations that make our itinerary unconventional and authentic.

Coming here you’ll feel like you have entered a movie or a picture book. This tour is an experience you do not want to miss out on!

At 2760 mts altitude and 70 km from Shimla, it is still a fairly unexplored place.

Visit the charming Roghi village, hidden 8 km from Kalpa.
Evening at the Roghi suicide point, a cliff that will take your breath away.
Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel in Kalpa.

Day 5Kalpa to Nako via Khab

After visiting the Kothi Devi temple in Kalpa, you’ll proceed from the forest of central Himachal and enter the cold desert region of upper Kinnaur (3 hours drive). On the way, stop for photos at Khab bridge to witness the confluence of rivers Sutlej and Spiti.
Reaching Nako Village, involves an interesting drive crossing Ka Loops. Nako, a Tibetan village, is home to the most pristine lake you’ll probably ever come across and it is the best spot to view the highest mountain of Himachal, Reo Purgyil (6816 mt).

Day 6Nako - Tabo - Kaza

Early morning, proceed to Kaza (2 hrs). On the way, you’ll make a few must-visit pitstops.

Dhankar Gompa is situated amidst a rocky cliff with a beautiful view of the landscape below.
Mud village – This place is like a green oasis in the middle of a desert.
Gue Village – is home to the 500-year-old mummified body of Sangha Tenzin with his teeth still intact. Visit here will certainly be interesting and add a little dark tourism flavour to this trip.
