5 Nights / 6 Days
This trek is perfect for first-time trekkers. The trek passes through simple terrain of open land, dense forest and ends up at a meadow. Imagine yourself in a place full of greenery, rich with sweet aroma and the tweeting of the birds. This is how your trek to Dayara Bugyal will be like. If you visit here in winter then you will be standing on a lot of snow with skiiers everywhere.
Early morning pick-up from Dehradun railway station and then drive to Raithal. On the way photoshop at Moryana top from where you’ll get excellent view of the Gangotri Range. Visit the markets of Uttarkashi and Bhatwari. In the evening, reach Raithal. Dinner and overnight stay in Raithal.
After breakfast, trek to Gui. The 3.5 km trail will take approx 4 hours to cover and it is surrounded by oak trees, and rhododendrons. Dinner and overnight stay at the campsite in Gui.
Day 3Dayara Bugyal
After breakfast, trek to Dayara Bugyal. You’ll get amazing views of Bandarpoonch, Kala Nag and other neighbouring peaks. Overnight stay in tents here.
Day 4Dayara Top
The day when you’ll trek to your final destination i.e. Dayara Top. The terrain ascends gradually at first and then becomes steep. The tiring climb will be worth it when you reach the top. After spending some time on top, return back to the campsite in Dayara Bugyal and stay there overnight.
After breakfast, trek further down to Barsu. It is an easy descend and won’t take more than 4 hrs. Overnight camp at Barsu.
Day 6Return to Dehradun
After breakfast, drive back to Dehradun and from there depart for home with happy memories of the trek.
